BGB sends back 4 boats of Rohingyas

Boarder Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has sent back 4 boats of Rohingyas while they were trying to intrude Bangladesh fleeing Rakhaine state of Myanmar due to the ongoing crackdown by the country’s army there.

The Rohingya boats were trying to enter Bangladesh through three points of Naf river in Ukhia and Teknaf upazilas of Cox’s Bazar boarder since 9pm Friday to early hours of Saturday.

BGB Deputy Commander of Teknaf 2, Major Abu Rasel Siddiqui informed that there were 12 to 15 Rohingyas in each of the 4 boats. Obstructed by the BGB forces, the boats were compelled to go back to Myanmar.
