India worried over Bangladeshi border issue

The Indian Border Security Force “the largest Border guarding force of the world” started a force level Annual Medical Conference at Umpling, Shillong yesterday. This is 8th Annual Medical Conference of BSF. Shri K K Sharma, IPS, Director General, BSF inaugurated the medical conference by lighting lamp.

A book ‘BSF Health Magazine 2017’ was also released by the DG BSF along with official logo ‘Medi-con’ for the conference.

The BSF will soon install intruder detection alarm system along the unfenced border areas in Meghalaya to prevent infiltration and cattle smuggling, said KK Sharma. “Very soon we’ll be installing the intruder detection alarm system which will make it possible for our troops to detect any intrusions in those areas,” he told the reporters. “There are some areas which are not yet fenced, but I must assure yoy that we are covering those gaps with technological solutions,” added he. The BSF DG said, “We have a good coordination with Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB). BGB has taken action against those hideouts of Indian militants based on information provided by BSF. It (Bangladesh) is no longer a safe haven for terrorists.” Read more
